Our Mission

Our mission is to expand STEM education by linking researchers and professionals in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields with middle school or high school classrooms and after-school programs at no cost to the school or organization.

The STEM Outreach Collective provides opportunities for students to learn from and to interact with researchers who are actively contributing to STEM fields. The STEM Outreach Collective strives to educate students about what’s happening in STEM fields right now, and to illustrate that science is for everyone. By allowing students to directly interact with researchers from all backgrounds, we aim to engage and inspire students from all communities, backgrounds, and levels of experience.

We Believe

We believe that the best sources of excitement about STEM subjects are the researchers who are dedicating their careers to asking questions and finding answers. We believe students should be able to meet these researchers, learn about their fields of study, and ask questions directly. We believe that you don’t have to be considered a part of science history to be taught in school. We believe that the best way to inspire younger generations to become STEM experts is to get them involved in what’s happening now. We believe that science is for everyone, regardless of age, sex, race, orientation, economic status, or cultural background.
